Mgr. Alena Straubová, Lawyer

She is a founding member of the Law Office.

She graduated from Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in 1994. During her studies she studied Austrian law and law of EU at Karl-Franzens-University in Graz, she attended summer schools focusing on European law, 2 stays at European Commission and European Court of Justice in Brusel and worked as a research assistant at the Department of International Law.

After graduation she studied law of EU and international economic relations at Europa-Kolleg in Hamburg for a year where she acquired her first valuable experience in the field of international commercial law and corporate law. Then she engaged in advocacy as a legal trainee in Brno and Vienna where she studied Austrian law at University of Vienna and deepened her language skills by studying German, English and Russian language at Dolmetscher Institut in Vienna.

She passed her Bar examination in 1998, since November 1998 she has been working as a sole lawyer and since 1999 as a court interpreter of German language.

As one of few lawyers she closely specializes on legal help and representation of Clients in the field of law of EU, especially Austrian and German law, from the very beginning and participates in legal transactions with international element.

When practicing the legal profession she permanently cooperates with number of lawyers from a lot of member states of EU. She is a member of ČAK – Czech Bar Association, AEA – International Layers Network, DACH – Europäische Anwaltsvereinigung and EURACO.DE associating German speaking Lawyers.

Specialization: commercial and corporate law, civil and labour law, private international law, rights from transportation (CMR), arbitration law, collection of claims to compensation of damage to health from traffic accidents, accidents at work and product defects, medicine law, representation before Constitutional Court and European Court for Human Rights.

She also provides legal services in the field of Austrian, German and EU law.
